Champion XG12-5/8 Review: Champion XG12-5/8 Black Gold 5/8-Inch Silver and Deming Drill Bit. I needed to drill one inch holes in tree stumps; this drill worked amazing well. I had been using a 7/8 drill, but it kept getting bogged down. The first hole I drilled with this drill...I went too deep because it cut through the wood like butter.
